KPMG in Malaysia seeks national champions in the upcoming KPMG Cyber Security Challenge 2017, which will be held on 21 November 2017. Currently in its third year, the challenge will pit teams against each other with participants tested on cyber security skills and knowledge in reverse engineering steganography, cryptography, hacking and digital forensics to name a few.
The challenge is open to undergraduates from public and private universities in Malaysia. This year, a new level is introduced where the competition is going to be held in Thailand and Malaysia, with the top 3 teams from each country coming against each other for the finals, which will the Champions of KPMG Cyber Security Challenge being crowned.
Dani Michaux, KPMG’s Head of ASPAC Cyber Security, said “Each year, the level of skills and knowledge displayed at the Challenge is impressive. Inviting the winning teams from Thailand to compete against the best team in Malaysia can only elevate the competition and I am excited to see the outcome.
”KPMG has also introduced a new category – Cyber Innovation Challenge – with the objective to find the most innovative ideas in resolving real cyber challenges in today’s world.
