Mei Seen joined KPMG in 1997 and is currently a Tax Partner in KPMG in Malaysia. She began her career by joining KPMG in Malaysia’s Audit Division where she worked on assignments involving both private and public listed companies. Thereafter, she was transferred to the Corporate Tax Division and was involved in transfer pricing engagements. Mei Seen is also involved in first application of a bilateral Advance Pricing Agreement with the Malaysian Government and provided feedback to the IRB on the typical area of concern which taxpayers may have on APA applications. She has been involved in providing external training courses on transfer pricing issues, updates on the topic of BEPS and co-written transfer pricing articles for local and international publications. Mei Seen is also a Member of Australia’s Certified Practising Accountants and Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia.


Professional and Industry Experience

  • Mei Seen advises multinational companies on transfer pricing issues, including preparation of transfer pricing documentation, transfer pricing advisory and planning for risk mitigation, dispute resolution as well as involvement in defending clients during transfer pricing audits by the Inland Revenue Board (“IRB”). In addition, she has also been actively involved in supply chain business restructuring engagements.
  • She is involved in providing transfer pricing services to companies involved in automotive, electrical and electronics, commodities, oil and gas, shipping, telecommunication, services, logistics as well as FMCG companies.  She has experience in coordinating and managing large transfer pricing engagements involving large multinational companies, involving several members of the GTPS networks.
