KPMG in Malaysia
Bob is currently the partner in charge of the Indirect Tax Practice of KPMG in Malaysia and also the co-lead partner in charge of Transfer Pricing. He advises on various indirect tax issues involving GST, customs’ valuation, customs’ duties exemption, sales tax minimization and service tax planning. In 2005, Bob was seconded to KPMG’s Global Transfer Pricing Services team in Sydney where he was involved in numerous transfer pricing assignments, including managing a regional based project for one of the largest IT companies in the world. Bob is also the Malaysian tax correspondent for Tax Notes International and its online publication, Worldwide Tax Daily. In 2011, Bob earned the distinction of being the first expert witness in Malaysia’s first transfer pricing court case which was decided in favour of his client. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Chartered Tax Practitioner of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, Chartered Accountant of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, as well as a Licensed Tax and GST Agent by the Ministry of Finance.
