Eco Learning at Schools & Excursion

Sustainability in conservation depends on creating lasting concern for the Earth’s well-being within the community.

Sustainability in conservation depends on creating lasting concern...

In this sense, teaching our communities – especially our children – why each of us should care about the environment is synonymous with creating sustainable change.

It was with this in mind that KPMG expanded its Eco Dive Program through efforts to educate not only the firm’s clients and the general public, but the younger generation in particular.

Since 2008, KPMG in Malaysia work in collaboration with Reef Check Malaysia to adopt two sub-urban primary schools to participate in both the eco learning sessions and excursion.

The ongoing learning activities and annual Eco Learning excursion involve active participation and support from KPMG volunteers.

KPMG’s continued support and funding for Eco Learning and Excursion is a result of our belief that the best way to conserve the environment is in fact to create awareness in our children and groom them to become the future guardians of our national heritage.

KPMG’s involvement aims to:

  • Introduce the younger generation to the various ecosystems and diversity of life around them
  • Educate them on the importance of caring for Nature
  • Inspire and challenge them to take action and help protect the natural environment and resources around them
