Mr Schembri joined KPMG in Malta in 1994. Throughout his career he has  practiced within the firm’s audit function and has been mainly involved in audits of local and foreign companies and groups engaged in the hospitality, iGaming, software, manufacturing, insurance and finance sectors, some of which are listed on the Malta Stock Exchange. He has also been involved in a number of advisory engagements.

Mr Schembri holds a warrant from the Accountancy Board to practice as an accountant and auditor in Malta. His main area of interest relates to the accounting for group structures and the related auditing issues.

Mr Schembri has lectured and addressed a number of seminars on financial accounting and auditing matters.
