In October 2017, there was an announcement that investors would need to seek the approval of the Myanmar Investment Commission (“MIC”) before hiring foreign experts going forwards.
In October 2017, there was an announcement that investors would need to seek the approval of the Myanmar Investment Commission (“MIC”) before hiring foreign experts going forwards.
As there was not much detail in the announcement, there were questions as to whether the announcement would be applicable to all investors, or only those with MIC investment permits.
The MIC clarified on 15 November 2017 that this would only apply to investors with an MIC permit.
