James is an audit professional with more than 25 years of professional experience including the past 20 years in KPMG. After 6 years with KPMG in Leeds (UK), he joined KPMG in Belgrade (Serbia) in 2002.
For the past 14 years James helped establish and transform the firm into one of the market leaders. He became Head of Audit in 2011 and Senior Partner of Serbian and Montenegrin practices in 2012. His extensive knowledge and experience in delivering audit, audit related, financial and risk advisory services such as transaction services including financial due diligence i.e. pre/post-acquisition analysis to listed and private companies lead KPMG in Serbia to a business partner of choice for the main local companies, but also for many regional (CEE) and multinational companies and holdings across a range of industries.
James has an extensive track record of successful provision of internal audit services and risk assessment reviews. He brings on-board comprehensive knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), together with UK and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). James has a wide range of sector experience in both the UK and Serbia, including manufacturing, financial sector (banks and other financial institutions), construction sector, retail and distribution, as well as experience in IAS/IFRS audit engagements of Serbian and Montenegrin companies acquired by international investors.
James is a member of the KPMG CEE Partnership Board.
