Gints Sloka is Manager in KPMG’s Corporate Finance practice in Latvia, providing a wide range of M&A advisory services, including mergers, acquisitions, divestments and strategic and financial advice. Gints has managed a number of M&A projects in the Baltics, including the landmark deal of BTA Baltic Insurance Company sale to Vienna Insurance Group, advisory on the disposal strategy of the distressed asset manager Reverta, and others. Recent and ongoing M&A engagements involve companies operating in food and beverages, financial services, logistics and energy sectors. Gints is an active member of KPMG’s Global Consumer Markets M&A group, which combines KPMG’s global M&A experts in the respective field and promotes quick knowledge and idea sharing among the professionals. Apart from managing M&A deals, Gints also handles valuations of businesses, financial assets, trademarks and intellectual property. Gints is a passionate promoter of family business culture in Latvia and is involved in tackling issues facing these businesses, succession planning being one example.
