KPMG Luxembourg wins Best Event Project and Best Customer Experience of the year at Luxembourg Marketing & Communication Awards
KPMG Luxembourg celebrated a double win at the Luxembourg Marketing & Communication Awards
KPMG Luxembourg celebrated a double win at the Luxembourg Marketing & Communication Awards in October 2015. The firm, nominated for the first time ever, was shortlisted for three awards and emerged winner in two categories: Best Event Project for its unforgettable beach, the “KPMG Plage”, and Best Customer Experience for the hologram of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel that it projected during the inauguration of its headquarters, 39JFK, in January this year.
The firm received the Best Event Project award in recognition of the KPMG Plage, their pop-up beach on Kirchberg. In addition to over 150 tons of sand, and palm trees in front of their building, KPMG decked out its headquarters in very simple and retro style from 3 to 19 June 2015. As well as parasols, beach huts and deckchairs, beachgoers were greeted with a wide variety of refreshment options, including BBQ, drinks and ice-cream. Sports lovers were also catered for with beach volleyball and beach tennis equipment, a dedicated pétanque terrain, and other facilities for summer activities.
The Best Customer Experience Award was given to the firm for its hologram of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel at the grand opening of its new headquarters on 29 January 2015. The hologram was the brainchild of KPMG’s in-house MIC team, whose intention was to find an innovative solution after an unexpected engagement prevented the Prime Minister from attending the opening as planned. The hologram was KPMG’s way of ensuring that guests would not be disappointed by the no-show, while also showing how technology can be used to create an unforgettable experience.
