On 2 February the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan (AmCham) held its Annual General Meeting, during which Ashley Clarke, COO and Head of Audit for KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, was re-elected as the Board Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of AmCham in Kazakhstan.
The American Chamber of Commerce is a leading international business chamber in Kazakhstan, with more than 200 members including companies, not-for profit organizations, international financial institutions, and individual members. AmCham's primary objective is to serve as the voice of the international and local business community by creating an open forum to exchange information, ideas, and experience doing business in Kazakhstan. The Board consists of 10 members, 4 in the Executive Committee and 6 Board members, who meet monthly to review AmCham operations and policy, discuss important trends and changes in Kazakhstan’s investment and trade environment, and debate new directions for the Chamber.
"I am extremely grateful to AmCham’s Members for re-electing me to the Board of Directors and I am fully committed to continuing to serve the Chamber and its Membership” said Ashley Clarke.
