Harvey Nash / KPMG CIO Survey 2016

Harvey Nash / KPMG CIO Survey 2016

1000

The 2016 Harvey Nash/KPMG CIO Survey received more responses than any other IT leadership survey in the world. More than 3,300 CIOs and technology leaders across 82 countries shared their views and experiences between December 2015 and April 2016.

The Creative CIO

There is little doubt that the IT organization is changing. IT leaders are reinvigorated, and digital is changing the way in which everyone thinks about IT. CIOs are experimenting technically, and some are even changing long-established core business models. The focus is now on finding ways to develop an edge in a business world that's increasingly challenging.

Survey results reveal that:

  • CIOs are becoming more strategic and outwardly focused
  • Today’s CIOs are increasingly ‘creating’ rather than ‘operating’
  • Digital is here to stay and it is changing the way we think about IT
  • Big Data continues to be a big thing
  • Skills and talent retention challenges are once again a thorn in the side of IT leaders
  • Cyber-Security just isn’t going to get any easier
  • Diversity is surging past a new milestone
