This May, Astana and Atyrau provided the venue for several business breakfasts by KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia professionals.

On 16 May in Atyrau, Tax & Legal Senior Manager Tatiana Gorbacheva discussed the tax function optimisation with the local business community.

On 17 May Arman Imankulov, Audit Senior Manager, held a business breakfast on practical examples of capitalsation of the losses occurred due to the changes in foreign exchange rates and the general loan fee expenses. The materials aimed at enhancing the financial statements preparation. “The IAS 23 is one of the shortest standards, but it allows optimising the company’s financial results via capitalising the financial expenses on loans. The topicality of this method increases under the volatility of exchange rate and in the cases of significant capital deposits,” commented Arman.

The breakfasts concluded with Q&As where KPMG experts could answer the audience’s questions and share their experience. All the events received positive feedback from the business community.
