Enactus is a global non-profit organisation that mobilizes university students to make a difference in their communities while developing skills to become socially responsible business leaders.

Globally, KPMG member firms have been involved in Enactus since 1996 and has played a pivotal role in helping Enactus go global. In Kazakhstan we have been supporting Enactus for about 10 years.

On May 6, 2016 in Almaty Enactus held national competition Kazakhstan National Expo 2016, where students from 26 universities of Kazakhstan presented their business projects.
he jury had to make a difficult choice, and the first place was decided to award the team of the Pavlodar state University. S. Toraigyrov, second – team KazGUU University and the third – the team of the Kazakh humanitarian-law innovational University of Semey. Champions will defend the honor of the country at the Enactus World Cup in Toronto in October of this year.

KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia collaborates with Enactus for more than 10 years. The purpose of this organization is to help students contribute to the development of local communities and simultaneously to develop their business skills, thus to become a truly socially responsible business leaders in the future.

KPMG provides financial and advisory support and conducting thematic trainings for students. Employees of the company participate in the jury of national and international Enactus competitions, but also act as business advisors to teams. Assel Khairova, the managing partner of KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia had a welcome speech in front of the audience at the opening ceremony of the competition, and Karlygash Kaltayeva, the Head of business development department conducted the draw for teams. Assel Khairova, Inna Alkhimova, Mukhit Kossayev, Karlygash Kaltayeva, Iris Marijic and Sergey Nezdemkovskiy attended competition as judges.
