Ashita has over eleven years of accounting, audit and advisory experience. She joined KPMG’s Actuarial and Financial Risk Management practice in 2010 and currently serves as a Principal.
Prior to joining the Actuarial and Financial Risk Management department, Ashita gained experience working with the Audit Practice of KPMG and as an Account Executive with an Insurance Manager in the Cayman Islands.
On the financial risk management side, Ashita’s professional expertise lies in insurance the insurance space. Ashita has in-depth knowledge of the Cayman captive insurance, catbond and hedge fund backed insurance industry. She has led training sessions on insurance topics such as reserve and funding analysis.
On the Corporate Finance side, Ashita focuses on valuations and preparing business cases for infrastructure projects. In her capacity as a valuation specialist, Ashita prepares and reviews valuation calculations for financial reporting purposes. Industry coverage includes pharmaceuticals, mining, oil & gas and financial services. Ashita has led the financial modeling analysis on business cases for local infrastructure projects such as the proposed Long Term Residential Mental Health Facility in the Cayman Islands.
