Andrew has been with KPMG in the Cayman Islands for over six years focusing on captive insurance companies, onshore/offshore funds, and partnerships.
Prior to joining KPMG in the Cayman Islands, Andrew worked for KPMG LLP in the United States. Nashville, TN was his home office, but he also did rotations in New York, NY, Atlanta, GA, Memphis,TN, and Birmingham, AL.
Andrew has over nine years of tax experience in public accounting with respect to U.S. tax compliance and consulting for clients in a variety of industries, including insurance, financial services, automotive, real estate, and healthcare. He currently manages the preparation of US income tax returns and tax provisions for a portfolio of healthcare and non-healthcare captive insurers and investment partnerships.
Throughout his time advising clients in the captive insurance industry, Andrew has assisted with specialized compliance and reporting topics such as Controlled Foreign Corporation (“CFC”) reporting, Passive Foreign Investment Company (“PFIC”) reporting, Section 953(d) and 831(b) elections, FATCA classification, and Federal Excise Tax (“FET”).
