Overview

The ISO/IEC 20000 is an international standard for service management system. It provides parameters needed for an SMS to deliver services of an acceptable quality. The ISO/IEC 20000 practitioner course is aimed at IT professionals who assist organisations to implement and/or maintain the ISO/IEC 20000 certification.

KPMG in India offers three courses as per the Accrediting Professional Managers Globally (APMG) ISO/IEC 20000 qualification scheme.

ISO/IEC 20000 foundation
The ISO/IEC 20000 foundation is aimed at IT professionals wishing to demonstrate foundation level knowledge of ISO/IEC 20000. The course provides basic knowledge on IT service management (ITSM), and helps participants understand how the ISO/IEC 20000 standard operates.

Who should attend this?

ISO 20000 training is intended for anyone playing a role in a service management system.

Prerequisites

A candidate must hold one of the following certifications to qualify to sit the practitioner examination: The APMG ISO/IEC 20000 foundation, or the British Computer Society (BCS) ISO/IEC 20000 foundation, or ITIL® foundation

Evaluation and certification

The three-day course, delivered by an APMG-accredited trainer, will end with the APMG ISO/IEC 20000 practitioner exam, which is a three-hour multiple-choice test comprising four questions, each worth 20 marks. The pass percentage is 50 per cent (40 marks). KPMG in India is an accredited course provider with APMG, and is authorised to deliver ISO/IEC 20000 training courses and exams.
