KPMG International Case Competition (KICC)

Uncover your potential.

Uncover your potential.

The KPMG International Case Competition (KICC) is a great way for students to connect with us early in their pursuit of a successful career with KPMG. KICC is an opportunity for B-School students to exhibit their case-solving abilities on a global platform. KICC participants are provided real world business scenarios to analyse and make recommendations to a panel of experienced KPMG professionals.

What sets this competition apart is its distinct format, fast-paced structure and feedback and mentoring by experienced KPMG professionals. In each round of the competition, the participants are required to analyse, prepare and present their findings on a case in a limited time frame.

This is the sequence of events at KICC:

  • Registration: If you are a first year student of a two year full time PGDM (or its equivalent) programme in a leading B-School in India, sign-up for KICC in teams of four each, with your institute’s KICC organisers.
  • Campus championship: This is the first round of elimination of the competition. All registered teams work on a case and present their findings to a selection panel created by the institute. KPMG in India will provide necessary material to the institute for identifying the top team who will represent them in the next round.
  • Regional championship: The top teams identified in each region work on another challenging case study and are evaluated by a judging panel comprising KPMG professionals. The winning teams from this round proceed to the KICC national finals. High potential students identified during this round are evaluated for pre-placement opportunities with the firm.
  • National championship: Teams that have successfully completed the regional round compete with each other in this penultimate stage of the competition in the country. The winning team gets to represent India in the international finals and are mentored by professionals from KPMG in India.
  • International championship: This is the grand finale in which the national championship winner participates in a four day case study competition. Through a series of testing business scenarios and feedback sessions, experts from across the KPMG network of member firms globally select the winning team. The winners are announced at a gala attended by senior KPMG professionals. The international finals for this year’s competition is to be held in Lisbon, Portugal in April 2017.

How do I participate?

  • Participation in KICC is by invitation only. To know more, please contact your institute’s placement team.
