Applying K-Doc and K-Soft to your R&D tax credit claim

K-Doc, K-Soft & your R&D tax credit claim

Companies must satisfy two essential tests when claiming R&D tax credits.

When claiming the R&D tax credit, it is vital that companies ensure they can satisfy two essential tests, the accounting test and the science test, maintaining appropriate documentation to support both. However, as this is not always straightforward, KPMG has produced tools designed to record R&D activities as they happen.

K-Doc and K-Soft set out best practice documentation of R&D activities, both generally (K-Doc), and with specific focus on software development (K-Soft). They enable companies to contemporaneously document R&D activities while ensuring the information captured satisfies the requirements set out in Irish legislation and Revenue Guidelines.

We have produced a webcast demonstrating how the tools can be applied; to request access, please submit your details below and we will contact you with login credentials.
