The US-Ireland Research Innovation Awards are a joint initiative of the Royal Irish Academy and the American Chamber of Commerce, Ireland.
The awards recognise excellence in research innovation, creation and invention by an organisation, as a result of US Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Ireland.

Xilinx, Connect Centre for Future Networks, and Oxymem were named as the overall winners of the KPMG supported 2018 US-Ireland Research Innovation Awards, jointly presented by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland and the Royal Irish Academy at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner.
The awards ceremony was held in Dublin with 700 guests in attendance.Among the audience were Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys, leaders of many of the US companies in Ireland, representatives from academia and a range of Irish and international business leaders.
