A common theme this month is cybersecurity. An important topic as the financial services sector continues to find itself at the sharp end of targeted attacks by organised cyber-crime. In response to a G20 suggestion, the FSB has set out a draft “cyber lexicon” in an effort to find a common language with which to share information on cyber security. The IAIS has published a consultation on cybersecurity; and MEPs have voted in favour of boosting the EU’s role in making the industry safer. This will continue to be a hot topic for quite some time.
