Making Tax Digital for Business - VAT

HMRC has confirmed that from 1 April 2019 all VAT registered businesses with a turnover in excess of £85k will have to maintain digital records for VAT and submit their returns digitally.

VAT return information will have to be submitted to HMRC using a software package compatible with HMRC's Application Programming Interface (API).

KPMG has produced a short document which provides an overview of what this change means for your business and what you need to do now to be prepared for the change. Click here to view the document.

If you would like to discuss the impact of these changes in more detail, please get in touch with Frankie Devlin, Jennifer Upton or your usual KPMG Tax contact.
