KPMG in Ireland
Niamh has recently joined KPMG from the Central Bank of Ireland where she was a policy advisor to senior management, primarily in the area of investment management. Since joining KPMG, she has provided advice on regulatory change, has assisted clients in preparations for authorisation and has provided support with regulatory impact assessments.
While at the Central Bank, Niamh acted as internal co-ordinator between the Central Bank and ESMA, was a member of a number of ESMA Standing Committees and was involved in the negotiations to enact the EU Market Abuse Regulation, MiFID II/MiFIR and PRIIPs. She was involved in a number of Irish initiatives as well, including the transposition of EU legislative measures into Irish law as well as the development of the Client Asset and Investor Money Regulations.
