Our CSR Story

Our CSR Story highlights KPMG’s award-winning skills based endeavours in CSR over the previous eighteen months and brings together, in a collection of short stories, the wide range of communities and charities which have benefitted from the extra-curricular and voluntary efforts of KPMG’s people.

Karina Howley, Head of CSR at KPMG said: ‘The greatest CSR benefits arise when businesses leverage the skills of their people. Developing a successful CSR strategy means ensuring that whatever skills exist in a business are applied to helping remedy the challenges faced by charitable and voluntary bodies.’

Shaun Murphy, Managing Partner at KPMG in Ireland added: ‘CSR creates opportunities for everyone to make a difference in Ireland and overseas, working with outstanding CSR partners and helping people overcome challenges whilst learning new skills and solutions.’

Best Creative Staff Engagement Award: Business to Arts Awards 2015

Staff engagement at KPMG was recognised at the Allianz Business to Arts Awards 2015 when the firm received the award for Best Creative Staff Engagement for its work with St. Michael’s House in Dublin.

KPMG worked with St. Michael's House to create a series of multi-sensory stories for children with intellectual disabilities. Each story is just seven sentences in length, with each sentence involving a different sensory experience reinforced by a colourful item associated with it - all contained within unique ‘story boxes’.

In Ireland and overseas we work with outstanding CSR partners – helping people overcome difficulties and challenges whilst learning and sharing new skills.

As evidence of our commitment we are proud to have been awarded the Outstanding Achievement Chambers Ireland CSR Award 2013. As Shaun Murphy - our Managing Partner noted when commenting on our award success; “As overall award winners we believe this is a tremendous endorsement of all of our CSR efforts in contributing to the communities in which we operate.”

We group our award winning CSR into five categories:

  • Charities
  • Community
