Thanos is Partner and Head of the Corporate Finance and Restructuring practices in Greece. He specializes in M&A, capital raising and debt advisory. He holds Bsc ECON (Hons) from the University College of London and MA degree in International Studies from University of Reading. Thanos joined KPMG in February 2012. He has more than 20 years of experience in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking. Thanos enjoys considerable corporate finance experience, having led a sizeable number of transactions relating to M&A, capital raising, valuations, fairness opinions and other related projects. He began his career as an Advisor at the Economic Office of the Prime Minister in Greece where, among other duties, he was actively involved in two privatizations projects. After that, he worked for seven years with two of the leading brokerage houses in Greece, leading the Corporate Finance as well as the Structured Products businesses. Before joining KPMG he led the investment and corporate banking business for a Greek Bank for almost ten years. For a number of years, Thanos had been appointed a member of the Underwriting Committee as well as the Advisory Committee for Investment and Corporate Banking of the Hellenic Banks Association. Thanos has worked with clients from a variety of industries and especially from the Telecommunications, Passenger Shipping, Food and Manufacturing industries. The vast majority of his clients had been corporate listed in the Athens Stock Exchange.
