I started KPMG right out of university and have been here ever since. The reasons why I have been here ever since are because of the clients I have come across, the KPMG colleagues I have worked with and the continous opportunities I have had to learn.

Shortly after joining the Audit Practice in Financial Services in Helsinki, I started working with a variety of financial sector clients, both global and local. During the years, I have had the chance to work as an auditor at several banks including the Bank of Finland. In addition, I have audited insurance companies, investment management companies and clients focused in management of real estates, private equity funds and M&As. It has been a huge opportunity to get familiar with financial regulations, the variety of business models and also the great people who I have met along the way.

Last summer, I came across some new faces and new opportunities when I started my long-term secondment at KPMG ECB Office in Frankfurt, Germany. The ECB team is unique as we are a team that consists of experienced financial services professionals from all parts of Europe and it has been fun to work with different people from different cultures. It is here where we support our clients and our firm in dealing with banking supervision and new banking regulation topics. So far, it has been a fantastic chance to learn more about the European banking markets and ever changing regulations.
