No possibility for structured feedback from patients

Denmark is one of the few countries in the world that provides patients with easy and free online access to their own updated medical records. However, the system provides no possibility for structured feedback from patients that can improve the dialogue with the health care system, according to a new report from KPMG.

No possibility for structured feedback from patients

Denmark has high openness and high quality of health data, but the data is not being utilised to the same extent as in other countries. There is for example a need for structured feedback from patients. Several good initiatives are in process, such as the project patient-reported outcome data, PRO data, to increase patient-experienced quality in the treatments. However, the projects still need to be implemented on a large scale. The health care challenge is to ensure good data management through a strong organisational setup, focusing on roles and responsibilities as well as strong technological support based on the needs of the citizen.
