The CSR Awards 2014 & the Importance of CSR Strategies
For the fourth year in a row, we were engaged in the CSR Awards and the daytime Conference. The whole setting brought forward the best CSR cases, and gathered professionals and business leaders to discuss the developments and implications of CSR. The importance of CSR strategies was demonstrated through our sponsorship of the CSR Strategy Prize. KPMG 2014 wanted to celebrate the best practices, which can serve as an inspiration for others in terms of integrating CSR into the business.
About KPMG's Sustainability Team & the True Value Methodology
KPMG 2014’s Sustainability team focuses specifically on the strategic approach to CSR, and on mitigating risks and creating opportunities in the light of the global challenges, we are facing. We wish to focus attention to the value creation that can be reaped by integrating CSR strategically in your business, and by taking into account its business and stakeholder impact. New Vision of Value learns companies measure and improve their corporate value while enhancing their societal value - it links the value creation from environmental and social initiatives with financial value, which is necessary in order to build the business case for sustainability, and for assessing future investments.
