Phase 1: Empowering

At KPMG, our foundations are built on inspiring confidence in each other to empower change. As a Graduate, you launch your career at KPMG with a two-week overseas training programme. The purpose of this is to prepare you to hit the ground running upon your return. These two weeks are an excellent opportunity to start developing a lifelong network of professional peers.

When you return to Denmark, you will work with client facing projects and develop your sales and leadership skills. The first phase builds the right foundations to empower you, as you to enter the next part of the Future Focus Graduate Programme.

What to expect from this phase:

  • Audit Foundations level 1
  • Core Consultancy skills
  • Teamwork activities woth an external party
  • Client-facing work

Phase 2: Navigating

At this stage in your Graduate career with us, you will take on more responsibilities and challenges. You will start to work closely with clients, developing a more diverse client portfolio, ranging from local companies to larger international firms. You will ignite your potential by applying what you have learnt during your first six months with us by putting this knowledge into practice.

This marks the end of your first year. You will be asked to take time to reflect on your experiences, share tips and give your peers feedback as you prepare to step up into phase 3.

What to expect from this phase:

  • Audit Foundations level 2
  • Continuous on-the-job coaching and training
  • Practice "giving and receiving feedback" workshops
  • Giving back: participation in a CSR project


Phase 3: Exploring

As you enter into your second year you are expected to lead by example helping the next cohort of Graduates embark on their programme. You will have opportunities to work with them, sharing your knowledge and experience.

At this point of the programme, you will have acquired a year of experience and possess the necessary consulting skills and knowledge to accelerate your career. You are now ready to move into the final phase where you will sharpen and further develop those capabilities.

  • Audit Foundations level 3
  • Project Management skills: Prince2
  • High impact presentation skills
  • Sales and business development courses

Phase 4: Mastering

Phase 4 is the time to show what you are capable of through a client case competition, based on all the knowledge and skills you have accumulated over the past two years. This part of the programme also focuses on the next steps of your career journey: workshops will be held to help you identify the shape of your future career in a fast-paced and international environment.
