Female talent is forging ahead at manager level in the roles just below board level. However, despite the best intentions, there are still few women at the top. Is senior management at fault or is it the women themselves who are unable to move forward? What does it take in practice to move from manager to senior executive?

    Presentation by Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen, executive vice president of Novo Nordisk and responsible for staff and organizational development, diversity and gender diversity at senior levels. At Novo Nordisk, 45 percent of all managers are now women, but the proportion upward in the career hierarchy drastically decreases. The Group Management team consists of nine men. Hear about the pharmaceutical giant's many initiatives to ensure that more women get in the pipeline for a top job.

    Presentation by Anna Purchas, COO and Partner at KPMG Denmark. Anna Purchas moved to Denmark from London in 2014, when she left the job as Chief Operating Officer of KPMG's UK Advisory Business – a position with more than 4,000 advisors and a turnover of approximately 8 billion DKK. Based in London, she also worked on engagements in Switzerland, as well as served several clients in Israel, South Africa and in most of Europe. Hear why Anna Purchas made the decision to move to Denmark and get her perspective on the difference between a top position in Denmark and abroad.
