KPMG Czech Republic appoints three new partners and enhances its audit specialization

KPMG Czech Republic appoints three new partners

Martina Štegová and Veronika Strolená have been promoted to audit partners. They will be focusing on retail and financial services, enhancing the specialist know-how of KPMG's audit teams. Daniel Szmaragowski has been appointed tax partner. He will be responsible for the fast growing field of transfer pricing.

Martina Štegová

Martina Štegová joined KPMG in 1995 after graduating from the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the University of Economics in Prague. Her long-term focus is on auditing industrial companies and business organisations. She is a chartered auditor and member of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. At KPMG, she is responsible for services in retail, e-commerce and consumer goods and will continue developing them in her new role. She is also an experienced auditor of bond offerings. In her free time, she likes to ride bikes, ski and relax with yoga.

Veronika Strolená

Veronika Strolená joined KPMG in 2000 after graduating from the Faculty of Finance and ccounting at the University of Economics in Prague. Since the beginning of her tenure at the company, she has been focusing on audit and consulting for financial institutions – mainly investment companies and funds, banks, loan companies and financial intermediaries. She is a chartered auditor and member of the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. In her new role, she will be jointly responsible for the financial services sector. When not working, she likes to travel around Europe and the world.

Daniel Szmaragowski

Daniel Szmaragowski joined KPMG in 2000 after graduating from the University of Economics in Prague. In 2001, he became a chartered tax advisor and member of the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors. Apart from corporate income tax, investment incentives and EU funds, he has always focused on transfer pricing. Since 2014, he has been the head of KPMG's transfer pricing department. As partner, Szmaragowski will continue developing transfer pricing services and cross-border cooperation with other KPMG companies. He is a competitive skier and coache children at the Ski Team Budweis club. In the summer, he races yachts with his whole family.
