An Effective Internal Audit Department, Fraud Detection & Prevention Techniques Seminar

The objective of the initial two sections of the seminar is to assist the participants in understanding the needs and practices that are required for an effective and well set up internal audit department, based on the internal standards and best practices of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Upon completion of these sections, participants will be able to create an efficient IAD and satisfy the criteria of a possible quality review from an IIA quality reviewer. The purpose of the remaining sections of the seminar is to assist participants in understanding the needs and practices that are required to install detection and prevention internal controls. Practical examples will be provided reinforcing the educational benefits of this pragmatic seminar.
This seminar is directed towards existing Internal Auditors, who may range from junior level staff to managers, both in the public and private sectors. It is also addressed to individuals who want to become Internal Auditors, who wish to set up an internal audit department and/or enhance the internal audit activities of their organization. Additionally, this course will be useful to those who want to advance their existing knowledge regarding detecting, preventing and reporting fraud in their companies.
