The Peking University team to KICC

Li Kehang, Chen Chen, Zhu Zipei and Qin Yi were the team who beat nine other teams from top universities in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and will now be competing for the coveted trophy.

KICC is an annual competition which poses real-world business challenges to test the creativity, problem-solving skills and learning agility of these top university undergraduates.

Maria Lee, Partner in charge, People, Performance & Culture, KPMG China, says: “It’s been exhilarating to see just how much great thinking, talent and potential students in China have and this team really demonstrate all that is great about our country’s emerging talent.”

“When you consider some of the opportunities on the horizon for businesses – as a result of disruption, globalization, technology and rapid change, it’s inspiring to know we have a pipeline of future business leaders waiting in the wings to take advantage of these opportunities.”

In the global final, which takes place over four days, winning teams of four from each country will work to develop innovative, results-driven solutions which they then present to a panel of KPMG judges. Teams progress through multiple rounds until one team is crowned KICC champion on Thursday, 12 April 2018.

In 2017, a team of four students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong won the competition, ahead of finalists from Sweden and Switzerland.
