Cover of Construction 2.0 - Time to change

As mentioned in the annual Policy Address on 10 October 2018 by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, Carrie Lam, the Hong Kong Government has launched an initiative related to the future of the local construction industry, Construction 2.0. KPMG has assisted the government with the production of a publication that supports this industry-wide initiative, titled Construction 2.0: Time to Change.

The primary purpose of the publication is to highlight existing challenges being faced by the Hong Kong construction industry and key actions being undertaken to address these challenges to ensure a bright and prosperous future for the industry. Professionals, members of the public and other stakeholder groups are being encouraged to provide feedback on the initiatives outlined in Construction 2.0, as well as offer other ideas and approaches directed at moving the industry to the next level and beyond.

Given the widespread impact the construction industry has on the Hong Kong economy, the contents of this publication are expected to appeal to a wide range of interest groups.
