HKSI Institute Business Ethics Forum 2016

JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, Ballroom, Level 3, Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Hong Kong

18 November 2016, 8:30 - 16:30, HKT

KPMG is a Diamond Sponsor of this year’s HKSI Institute Business Ethics Forum.

Overview

The Business Ethics Forum (BEF), first launched in 2006, is a signature event organised by the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI Institute) to promote business ethics and integrity in the financial services industry. The BEF2016 will feature prominent business leaders, policymakers and influencers of the industry to deliberate and address the fundamental subject crucial to our industry success and advancement.

Given the government’s initiatives in financial technology (Fintech) and the market developments in this area, this year’s forum aims to raise market awareness of the business ethics perspective of this digital revolution, which presents both a challenge and an opportunity to the established financial services industry.

Programme highlight

There have been many new developments in the field, from the introduction of new products, and new operation and settlement systems to macro changes. It has never been more important for risk management and regulatory professionals to keep abreast of developments in the industry and the impact they have on the markets, investors and service providers.

The forum will cover:

  • Fintech development trends and opportunities;
  • Supervisory support and considerations for financial innovations; and
  • Ethical, social and corporate considerations in Fintech implementations.
