KPMG in China
In his capacity as Chairman, Honson serves as a member of KPMG’s Global Board, Global Executive Committee, Global Investment Committee and High-growth Markets Committee. Honson started his career with KPMG in Canada in 1990 where he trained and obtained his professional qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator. He joined KPMG’s Hong Kong office in 1997, moved to Shanghai office in 2001 and eventually to Beijing office, where he is now based, in 2010.
Honson has accumulated numerous years of experience servicing international clients investing in China and Chinese clients investing overseas, providing due diligence, valuation and general advice on mergers and acquisitions. More recently, in the past two years, Honson has initiated KPMG’s efforts in advising Chinese clients on the stateowned enterprise reform initiative as well as banking industry clients in dealing with non-performing loans in China.
