Lewis is KPMG China's Head of Tax. He assists multinational clients in formulating entry and exit strategies in relation to their PRC investments. He regularly undertakes due diligence work and restructuring projects, and frequently assists foreign multinationals in discussing tax policy matters with the PRC tax authorities. Lewis specialises in the Financial Services industry particularly for foreign banks, on taxation and business regulations in respect of business activities in China. The taxation areas he is regularly involved with include corporate income tax, individual tax and business tax. With experiences with banking clients, he also regularly advises foreign investors in other industries on tax-efficient financing structures. Lewis is the lead Chinese tax advisor to many major banks on Chinese tax issues.
