KPMG in China
Edwin joined KPMG in Hong Kong in 1986, and was seconded to KPMG New York office from 1993 to 1995, then promoted to partner in 1999. In 2007, he was re-located to KPMG Beijing. In 2007-2008, he was the Partner-in-Charge of Information, Communication and Electronics for China. From 1 October 2010, he took the role of Partner-in-Charge of Markets for KPMG China. In the same year, he acted as Global Chair of Global China Practice and established a global China network of more than 40 local China practices around the world with aim to help Chinese companies invest overseas. He is now Senior Partner of KPMG Beijing.
He has rich experience on telecommunication, technology and real estate sectors, and has worked across Hong Kong, mainland China and US. He specialises in the audit of listed companies in Hong Kong, mainland China and US and also has extensive experiences as reporting accountant on numerous public offering and assets injection/acquisition exercises in various jurisdictions. He has also actively participated in SOE reform related work, including assisting local government institutions’ debt financing, PPP (Public and Private Partnership), corporate debt restructuring, etc.
