We draw strength from our diverse range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds

The ethnic minorities form a vibrant and diverse community. However, due to misconception or misunderstanding, these ethnic groups often face discrimination and unfair treatment.

Everyone should be treated equally, and should have equal opportunities to learn and develop. Our programme focuses on empowering the ethnic minority students, who often lack resources and opportunities, to enrich their exposure and broaden their horizons.

Project WeCan

The KPMG Foundation has been a key partner of Project WeCan, a ‘business-in-community’ initiative that empowers disadvantaged students by providing them with learning opportunities. Under their ‘adopt a school’ model, KPMG China has adopted Caritas Tuen Mun Marden Foundation Secondary School, where 80 percent of the students are non-Chinese speaking and come from over 18 countries. A wide range of activities have been organised for the students such as company visits, ‘job tasting’ programmes, mentorship programmes and financial literacy workshops.
