The regulatory and political conditions for the business activities of Swiss companies have significantly changed in recent years. KPMG asked companies in Switzerland about the impact of the economic and political changes to their business.
The acceptance of the mass immigration initiative in February 2014, the decision of the Swiss National Bank in January 2015 to cancel the minimum euro exchange rate and the introduction of negative interest rates and the uncertainties related to the Corporate Tax Reform III are just a few prominent examples. To find out the impact of these changes on the business location Switzerland, KPMG conducted a survey with approximately 80 Swiss companies.
