IFRS 9 "Financial Instruments" for Corporate clients
The new standard on financial instruments, applicable at the latest as from 1 January 2018, will have an impact on all organisations. But which areas of the standard are most likely to affect corporate clients?
We will provide a brief overview of such areas, and provide worked examples on topics such as classification and measurement, and assessment of expected credit losses, with the aim of providing an insight into the accounting challenges.
We will also briefly look at the areas, other than financial statements, which are likely to be affected, and the required steps to successful implementation.
