Michael joined KPMG in 2007 as Bank Auditor. Before joining KPMG, he worked for Credit Suisse within the Accounting Policy Group for 3 years, with responsibility for and acquiring in-depth experience in the areas of Swiss GAAP / US GAAP Differences and Global topical lead for Basel II (Capital Adequacy and Large Exposure). He has been part of FINMA and SBA (Swiss Banker’s Association) working Group’s on topics such as Accounting, Regulatory Capital and Netting Frameworks during his time with Credit Suisse. Furthermore, Michael has led or held key roles in a number of FINMA mandated engagements. He is recognized as an accounting and regulatory capital specialists at FINMA and has excellent contacts into the Supervisory Authority.
He serves as Lead Partner over 15 International Private and Investment Banks in Switzerland and leads the Seminar on Bank Audit at the University of Zurich together with Prof. Dr. Pfaff. Michael is a leading member of the FATCA Initiative in Switzerland. He leads publications for KPMG and through his international client base he is very well connected to KPMG’s international network.
