Swiss CEOs clearly have strong views on what is needed to build sustainable businesses. They have a high level of confidence in economic prospects, a clear focus on innovation, and ambitious plans to ensure that headcounts and skills keep pace. But there is also a feeling that the next few years will be more critical for their industry than the previous half-century was.
These insights come from a study conducted by KPMG in March and April 2016 that surveyed more than 1,300 CEOs – including executives representing 10 of the world's largest companies. A range of key industries is represented, including automotive, banking, infrastructure, insurance, investment management, life sciences, manufacturing, retail/consumer markets, technology, energy/utilities and telecommunications.
