Canada's siloed and fragmented healthcare system is difficult to navigate, especially for people with mental health and/or addiction (MHA) issues. Yet, each year, 1 in 5 will experience a mental illness or addiction problem. By age 40, one half of Canadians will experience a mental illness – regardless of education, income level, or cultural background. How can we translate insights from across Canada and abroad to transform policy and develop a strong framework for mental health and addictions?
