Lisa has over 27 years of experience in public practice, working with a wide range of publicly-traded companies in the mining industry (from exploration stage to major operators) and large private companies investing in the mining industry. Lisa provides tax advisory and tax compliance services to over two dozen mining companies, with international as well as domestic operations. She works closely with her global mining network to provide timely and relevant foreign tax advice which is integrated with Canadian tax rules on foreign operations. Lisa has extensive experience with tax planning, tax due diligence, acquisition, financing and structuring of investments in and outside of Canada, and the reorganization and re-financing of existing corporate structures.

Lisa is a founding author for the KPMG publication: A Guide to Canadian Mining Taxation, including updates for the 2nd and 3rd editions. She is a frequent speaker at Council for International Tax Education (CITE), Tax Executives Institute (TEI), Acumen, and Federated Press on a number of matters impacting tax, tax accounting, tax governance, tax risk, and tax control review matters
