Jorden has more than 17 years of transaction experience and he specializes in providing turnaround and restructuring advice to companies and their stakeholders. He also has experience advising shareholders with their M&A transactions and other strategic alternatives.
Jorden has advised a wide range of public and private companies as well as government clients in various sectors including in the senior care, banking, mining, manufacturing, agriculture and automotive industries. Jorden’s experience includes assisting debtors to prepare for CCAA filings, conducting independent business reviews and viability assessments on debtors on behalf of secured lenders, shareholders and other stakeholders; advising on cost reduction alternatives to improve cash flow, as well as both informal and formal insolvency and restructuring proceedings (both under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act in Canada), and liquidating a Canadian branch of a foreign owned bank.
Jorden led the turnaround and sale of a portfolio of 15 nursing and retirement homes between 2006 and 2010. Jorden worked for a Toronto based distressed private equity fund from 2003-2004.
