Chris is a senior member in our Energy Resources Tax practice. He has over 30 years of public practice experience and advises a significant number of clients on business and taxation issues. He has a broad depth of experience assisting oil and gas and other companies with all areas of Canadian income tax planning and compliance.
Chris is a former member of KPMG’s international tax and transfer pricing groups as well as KPMG’s IFRS implementation team.
Chris has spoken and written on various taxation topics, and is an alumnus of the faculty teaching the “Taxation of Canadian Oil & Gas Companies” at the University of Calgary.
Some of his speaking engagements include the Canada-Barbados Business Association, Insight’s Senior Resource Tax Practitioner’s Institute, the Tax Executives Institute, the CPTS Annual Conference, Insight’s Tax Strategies for the Energy Industry, SEPAC’s Income Tax Update and Planning Issues, Federated Press’ Understanding Natural Resources Taxation, the Canadian Tax Foundation’s Prairie Provinces Tax Conference, and Acumen’s Income Tax Accounting and Reporting-Current Compliance and IFRS Convergence seminar.
Chris is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society.
