Ryan Owsnett

Ryan is a partner in the Industrial Markets group of KPMG's office in Vancouver. He focuses on the audits of public and private mining, energy and industrial markets clients. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and became a CA in 2001 after placing in the top ten writers in British Columbia on the 2001 CICA Uniform Final Exam. Ryan has over 17 years’ experience in public practice, having started his career in KPMG in 1997.

Ryan’s mining experience includes the audits of both Canadian and U.S. listed operating and exploration stage mining companies. Ryan also works with clients in the energy sector and has experience working with both large scale utilities and publicly traded independent renewable power producers in British Columbia. Ryan has worked with numerous companies on a combination of audit, accounting advisory, IFRS conversion and US GAAP engagements. He has developed an excellent understanding of the accounting, reporting and business issues facing companies in the mining and energy sectors. Ryan has been the co-captain of KPMG Vancouver’s Ride to Conquer Cancer Team which has raised over $1 million for the BC Cancer Foundation.
