Blaine has more than 25 years’ experience working with major organizations in Aerospace, Defence, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, and Technology.

His area of focus includes tax consulting and compliance and integrating business strategy and operational excellence into the tax function.  Blaine works with organizations to manage the tax consequences of financings, mergers and acquisitions, and global expansion and provides solutions to digitally transform a tax department using advanced analytics and technology.

Blaine leads teams of specialists covering all aspects of tax advisory and compliance focused on delivering bottom line results and creating shareholder value. Blaine is also the Business Unit Leader for the KPMG tax practice in Eastern Canada.

Blaine has been a featured speaker for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada giving regular updates on Canadian tax changes and developments; he has presented on tax issues associated with mergers and acquisitions; he has participated in pre-budgetary consultations with government; and he has been a regular contributor to national media.
