He has been working since 1997 at KPMG, where he became an Audit Partner in 2011. He had a two-year experience (from 2004 to 2006) at the KPMG office in Tokyo, Japan, where he worked as an Audit Manager and had the opportunity to expand his knowledge of Japan's culture, and the business environment in that country, assignment which made him one of the most experienced partners to serve Japanese companies with subsidiaries in Brazil. This also enabled him to become the current partner in charge of the Japanese Desk in KPMG in Brazil.
Sebastian Soares holds two bachelor's degrees, one in Business Administration and another in Accounting. He is also a member of the Brazilian Institute of Independent Auditors (IBRACON) and National Association of Executives in Finance, Administration and Accounting (ANEFAC).
Sebastian Soares has been the executive partner in charge of the "Middle Market" segment at KPMG in Brazil since 2012 — aiming to differentiate KPMG from the competition in terms of customized services to family businesses, startups and private companies.
