KPMG in Brazil
Charles Krieck is Chairman of KPMG in Brazil and South America. He is also a member of the Global Board, of the Global Council of KPMG International and of the Board of KPMG in the Americas. Charles joined KPMG in 1986, basically providing services to international clients, with emphasis on German companies. From 1994 to 1996, as part of the Firm’s exchange program, he worked at KPMG Cologne in Germany, providing audit services to international groups. Charles is an Alumni of the inaugural class of the Firm´s Americas C25 program.
He has Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo/Brazil) and Accounting (Universidade Paulista, São Paulo/Brazil).
He joined KPMG in 1986 as an auditor, providing services to international clients, and with emphasis on German companies. From 1994 to 1996, as part of the Firm’s exchange program, he worked at KPMG Cologne in Germany providing audit services to international groups. In 1998, Charles was invited to develop and coordinate the Systems Audit department - Information Risk Management (IRM) at KPMG in Brazil, returning to the Audit department in 2004.
Charles is an accountant enrolled with the Regional Accounting Council (CRC) in São Paulo and registered with the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). He takes an active part in Audit profession initiatives and is currently a member of the Board of Officers of the Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives - São Paulo (IBEF-SP).
